To test the DFTSimuLab software compatibility with your
system platform we provide a set of programs that can be downloaded and
tested on your system. A software license is either node locked or uses a unique
registration ID number.
BJStrike installation guide
Linux x86 (32-bit build)
- x86 binary
that tests some system functions,
instructions and md5sum checksum.
If the tests in this program pass, your system is fully compatible with the
requirements for the BJStrike simulator software.
The linux versions have been verified on a variety of distributions including Redhat; Mandriva; Debian; Ubuntu; Knoppix and SuSE. If the GUI test fails the graphical toolkit tcl/tk needs to be installed on your system.
Note: The x86 version of BJstrike can also run on an x86_64 (64-bit) OS
if the 32-bit standard libraires are installed and a 32-bit verstion of the tcl/tk toolkit is installed. The x86 (32-bit) version typically runs faster on an x86_64 (64-bit) OS.
Linux x86_64 (64-bit build)
- This is a Linux build for amd64 x86-64 architecture, which can only run
on x86_64 64-bit Linux systems. This version has been tested on Ubuntu x86_64
and Knoppix x86_64. Notice that in general BJStrike runs faster on 32-bit (x86)
systems.
Sun Solaris
Windows
- The Windows versions have been verified on W98, ME, 2000, XP and Vista.
Follow the
instructions
on how to download the tcl/tk graphical toolkit needed for the GUI. BJStrike can also be configured to
run from a DOS terminal window in batch mode.
- Demo versions for Windows can be ordered for free to test your platform
compatibility
from the order page
Mac
- The Mac versions are supported for Mac OS X (10.3 and higher on PowerPC processor only).
The distribution file for Mac is a self-contained disk image.
This application is of type 'bundle' and already contains the Tcl/Tk
toolkit embedded so there is no need to install any additional software
in order to run BJStrike on Mac, see the
Mac page.

Graphical User Interface (GUI)
- The BJStrike GUI uses the Tcl/Tk graphical toolkit (see BJStrike
Screen snapshots). To use the GUI on Windows, the Tcl/Tk interpreter wish of version 8.3.4 or later needs
to be present on your system.
On the other hand, for command line invocation of BJStrike, no additional
software package is required.
-
Tcl/Tk is distributed freely to all
the common system platforms including Windows. Most Linux/Unix distributions
come with Tcl/Tk preinstalled. Otherwise, there are binaries available at the appropriate
RPM distribution sites or the package can be downloaded for free from
Active State. No registration is required for Download. Choose the 'Get ActiveTcl' link from this page
followed by 'Free Download' and then 'Continue' and select the package for your OS.
The toolkit can also be obtained directly from us. Contact support for such requests.
